1. In a big bowl, combine salmon, onion, salt and pepper; Stir in buttermilk, the egg, cornmeal and flour.
2. Mix the ingredients very well, wet your hands and form small patties.
3. Heat up the skillet with the cooking oil under medium heat and start cooking the patties.
4. Cook each side for 1 minute, transfer them to a platter and serve.
