
Human remains linked to missing UK teen Jay Slater have been found in Tenerife, nearly four weeks after his disappearance. The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, went missing following a night out.The Spanish Civil Guard confirmed that evidence strongly suggests the remains are Jay’s.
This tragic discovery came 29 days after he vanished, sparking an extensive search. Forensic investigations confirmed through fingerprint tests that the body was Jay’s, revealing multiple traumas from a fall in a rocky area.The missing persons charity LBT Global, which supported Jay’s family, reported that his body was found near his clothing and personal items. The charity urged the public to respect the family’s need for privacy during this distressing time.A friend, Brad Hargreaves, paid an emotional tribute, expressing his sorrow and saying that nothing will be the same without Jay. The Guardia Civil noted the discovery in the Masca area, an extremely inaccessible location. Despite suspending the large-scale search on June 29, efforts continued whenever possible. Jay’s family, supported by British Embassy officials, is now grappling with this devastating news.Jay had disappeared during a trip to a Tenerife music festival.
