I have three plants at my house, and I always have more than enough for myself and others. My aunt was sweet enough to give me the plants after I purchased my house so I could get them started right away.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients to make cake as listed on box)
  • 3 3/4 cups rhubarb, chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Mix the yellow cake mix according to package directions and pour into a greased 9×13 glass baking dish.
    3. Sprinkle rhubarb evenly over cake batter, and cover evenly with sugar.
    4. Pour the whipping cream over the top.
    5. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until top is browned.
    6. Cool completely before serving and refrigerate leftovers.
