Step 2: Make the Mascarpone Filling
- In a mixing bowl, whisk mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Fold in the prepared pistachio cream until fully combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Tiramisu
- In a shallow dish, mix brewed coffee with coffee liqueur (if using).
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 2-3 seconds and layer them in the baking dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone-pistachio mixture over the soaked ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone-pistachio mixture.
- Smooth the top with a spatula and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
Step 4: Chill and Serve
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) to allow flavors to meld.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
- Slice and enjoy!
Recipe Variations
- Chocolate Pistachio Tiramisu: Add a layer of melted dark chocolate between the ladyfingers.
- Alcohol-Free Version: Omit the coffee liqueur and use vanilla extract instead.
- Pistachio & White Chocolate: Mix white chocolate chips into the mascarpone filling for extra sweetness.
