4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread

1/2 cup raisins

2 cups milk

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Sauce: 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 tablespoon vanilla
