Sun exposure is a natural way to reduce dust mites. After washing, hang bedding outside in the sun. UV rays help kill dust mites and keep fabrics fresh.

4. Regular vacuuming

Vacuuming the mattress and surrounding surfaces with a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter helps eliminate dust mites and their droppings. It is recommended to do this at least once a month to maintain a clean and allergen-free environment.

5. Humidity control

Dust mites thrive in humid environments. Using a dehumidifier to keep relative humidity below 50% can significantly reduce their proliferation. In addition, regular airing of the room promotes a less hospitable environment for dust mites.

6. Use of anti-mite products

There are several commercially available anti-mite sprays and products that can be used to treat litter boxes. These products contain ingredients that kill mites or inhibit their growth.
