Years ago, I constructed a sizable planter wall out of cinder blocks, and ever since, I’ve been interested in cinder block seats.
However, it didn’t make sense to build one until we moved to a new home last year since we didn’t have a decent site for one.
Our paver patio was freshly redone, however a seat this size is a bit too large for that area. On the front end of our driveway, where there is a garden bed area, it functions well.
We would have a location to load and unload our autos as a result. The fact that the background of the location is a picket fence adds to its overall cuteness.
Adorable outdoor seating made from cinder blocks
Furthermore, we use this section of our driveway for a lot of our do-it-yourself projects, so having a place to sit and relax close by would be fantastic. It has a pleasant view of our front yard as well.
This location’s terrible feature is that it slopes, with a full 7″ difference between the two ends.
In order to avoid slipping down the bench each time we sat down, we needed to fix this. Because of this, we had to do additional site preparation work before building this stylish, simple outdoor seat.
It wasn’t too hard; we had to build up one end by constructing an elevated bed out of lumber, and it took us only one more day to complete.
It should be noted that cinder blocks are also known as cement or concrete blocks. They are composed of concrete combined with additional aggregates, fly ash sometimes included.
