Locklear’s daughter, Ava, from her marriage with Sambora, recently got engaged to her partner Tyler Farrar after four years of dating. Unfortunately, Locklear’s personal struggles have often spilled into the public eye. Police have been frequently called to her residence over the years. In 2018, she made headlines when she was arrested for domestic violence and assault against an officer. Locklear pleaded guilty to all charges, leading to a sentence of 30 days of involuntary commitment to a mental health facility and 120 days of suspended imprisonment.
