Todd, who is part Yup’ik Eskimo, worked in oil production and even won the world’s longest snowmobile race four times. The Palins lived in a beautiful house in Wasilla, raising their children and facing challenges together. One such challenge was the pregnancy of their unmarried 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, which shook their Christian household. Despite the difficulties, the family stood united and supported Bristol’s decision to have the baby.

The Pain of Divorce

After 31 years of marriage, Sarah’s world was shattered when Todd sent her a divorce notice via email, just days after their wedding anniversary in 2019. Discovering the news from a third party left her heartbroken. For Sarah, who considered her marriage one of the most important things in her life, it was devastating.

Throughout the process, Sarah fought to salvage her marriage. They underwent counseling, and she never wanted to give up. However, their differences proved to be insurmountable, and Todd filed for divorce in September 2019. The divorce was finalized on March 23, 2020.

Moving Forward with Love

Since the divorce, Sarah has kept a low profile. But in April 2022, she opened up about her new love and the pain she went through. She revealed that she is currently dating former New York Rangers star Ron Duguay. Their relationship grew out of a longtime friendship, and Duguay has been a source of support and comfort for Sarah.
