Cleaning a very dirty gas hob
If you only use your stove very little, or on the contrary much more regularly, you should adapt this rhythm to your lifestyle.

- Take a non-abrasive sponge (to avoid ruining their coating) and wash them carefully. If necessary, rinse and repeat washing. Their visual appearance, but also to the touch, will inform you of their cleanliness.
If your grates and burners are severely clogged, you will need the following products:
- One volume of white vinegar,
- Two volumes of baking soda,
Place the grates and burners in a bowl and sprinkle them with baking soda. Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle and then spray the stove elements. A chemical reaction will occur which will dissolve the dirt . Leave to act for a few minutes then rub with a non-abrasive sponge and rinse with clean water. Then dry the grates and burners thoroughly.
Now move on to the burner heads of your gas stove. First, wipe them roughly with a damp, well-wrung cloth to remove most of the residue. Carefully use a paper clip or safety pin to remove any tiny dirt that may be clogging the ignition port.
Finish with the hob of your gas stove. Wipe it with a damp cloth to remove larger stains. Then clean the surface with a sponge and soapy water. In the case of solidified and/or encrusted fats, use the ingredients indicated above. Leave to rest for fifteen minutes and rinse with a non-abrasive sponge. Dry everything again with a clean cloth and replace all the elements.
